With this, Bumrah surpassed Kapil Dev’s long-standing record of 12 five-wicket hauls in overseas Tests, becoming the Indian bowler with the most five-wicket innings (13) outside India. He also became the first Asian bowler to take 150 Test wickets in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia), overtaking Pakistan legend Wasim Akram’s tally of 146. Overall, this marks Bumrah’s 15th five-wicket haul in Test cricket, reinforcing his stature as one of India’s premier pace bowlers.
