Meanwhile, the race for the vice-president position sees Ashok Kumar and YVS Chowdhary as the main contenders, with the vice-president election being conducted among producers.
The president and vice-president are elected by a body of 48 members, including producers, exhibitors, distributors, and studio sector members. The elections come as the term of the previous president, Dil Raju, has concluded in accordance with the chamber’s by-laws.
