Nampally court on Friday issued summons to Telugu film actor Allu Arjun, directing him to appear before the court on Monday in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. Chikkadpally police have named the actor as accused A11 in the case, with the Sandhya Theatre management listed as accused A1 through A10.
A total of 19 accused have been issued summons thus far in the case. Police have already filed a chargesheet naming 23 accused persons in connection with the incident. The trial is expected to commence following the personal appearances of all accused before the court.
The case stems from a stampede that broke out on December 4, 2024, during a benefit show of the film Pushpa-2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The crowd surge resulted in the death of a woman identified as Revathi, while her son Sritej sustained serious injuries in the incident.
