Hyderabad: After delivering back-to-back hits with Veera Simha Reddy and Bhagavanth Kesari, Nandamuri Balakrishna is back on the big screen with Daaku Maharaj released on January 12. The high-voltage action entertainer has opened to positive reviews from the first show itself, with fans praising Balakrishna’s powerful performance and dialogues.
Fans have lauded Balakrishna’s action-packed sequences and impactful dialogues, stating that he has once again lived up to their expectations. Thaman’s background score has been a major highlight, with audiences raving that the BGM “shattered speakers.” Director Bobby KS Ravindra has been appreciated for presenting Balakrishna in a fresh avatar, with the film’s visuals receiving special praise.

Speaking at the press meet, director Bobby said, “I tasted success last year with Waltair Veerayya for Sankranti, and now I am back this year with Daaku Maharaj. Sankranti has become a special festival for me. The music by Thaman and cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan played a huge role in delivering a fantastic output.”
Prequel Plans in the Pipeline
When asked about a possible sequel to Daaku Maharaj, producer Naga Vamsi revealed an interesting update. “We aren’t planning a sequel, but we do have an idea for a prequel. Bobby has a concept in mind, and I loved it. We will work on it,” he said, hinting that a prequel to Daaku Maharaj may be in the works.
With the positive reception and the possibility of a prequel, Daaku Maharaj has added to the festive excitement of Sankranti for Nandamuri fans.
