Popular actress and social media personality Ashu Reddy has responded to the allegations against her following the registration of a police case in Hyderabad. The complaint was filed by Yenumula Satyanarayana, who accused her of cheating his son, Dharmendra, by promising marriage and allegedly misappropriating assets worth several crores.
According to the complaint, Satyanarayana, a resident of Shaikpet, alleged that Ashu Reddy gained his son’s trust under the pretext of marriage and acquired assets worth around ₹9.35 crore. These reportedly include cash, gold, luxury cars, and flats, which were registered in her name. Based on the complaint, CCS police have registered non-bailable cases against Ashu Reddy and her family members and have initiated an investigation.
Responding to the controversy, Ashu Reddy issued a clarification through her social media platform. In an Instagram story, she warned that she would not tolerate false allegations or defamatory content circulated without verifying facts. She stated that strict legal action would be taken against individuals and media organizations spreading misinformation about her.
The case has become a major talking point in the Telugu film industry, with parallel developments unfolding. While police continue to probe the financial allegations, Ashu Reddy’s firm stance indicates a possible legal counteraction. Key aspects, including the nature of her relationship with Dharmendra and the authenticity of the alleged asset transfers, are expected to be established during the investigation.
Ashu Reddy rose to prominence through social media platforms, gaining popularity with Dubsmash videos and later earning recognition due to her resemblance to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
