BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind has strongly criticized the alleged alliance between Congress, BRS, and MIM in the Nizamabad municipal corporation elections. He claimed that the three parties collaborated to defeat the BJP and capture the corporation, leaving the BJP without the Mayor and Deputy Mayor positions despite its narrow majority.
Arvind predicted that the BJP would reclaim the mayoral post before the current term ends. “I am saying this clearly: before the Mayor and Deputy Mayor term concludes, we will reverse the scene,” he asserted, signaling the party’s intention to challenge the current leadership.
He also criticized Akbaruddin Owaisi, alleging that his statements targeted Hindus, and condemned Congress and BRS for aligning with MIM. Arvind called the alliance a betrayal of self-respect and accused the parties of political opportunism.
Further, Arvind questioned why Revanth Reddy was protecting the Kalvakuntla family in controversies such as Kaleshwaram, car races, and phone-tapping cases. He alleged that hidden agendas were behind the alliance and claimed that even the police were influenced to coerce a BRS corporator into supporting Congress.
Arvind highlighted that in Karimnagar, BRS stayed away from mayoral voting, while in Nizamabad, it supported Congress. He demanded that KTR clarify the party’s position on backing Congress in Nizamabad, asking, “Why the preference for Karimnagar and not Nizamabad?” He further stated that if KTR and Revanth Reddy were subjected to narco tests, the truth would be revealed.
