Hyderabad: A gang of armed robbers targeted Khazana Jewellers in Chandanagar, Hyderabad, threatening staff with firearms and carrying out a robbery on Tuesday morning. During the incident, the store’s deputy manager was shot and sustained injuries. Police promptly arrived at the scene and have registered a case for further investigation.
CCTV footage has captured the robbery in progress, providing critical leads for the police. Authorities have deployed 10 special teams to track down the suspects. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mahanti confirmed that a search operation is ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.
The incident occurred around 10:30 am when the robbers entered the store. They were unable to open counters containing gold jewellery but destroyed counters holding silver items, which were subsequently stolen. The exact value and quantity of the stolen silver are yet to be determined. The deputy manager, who sustained a gunshot injury during the robbery, is reported to be in stable condition.
