Rayachoti police in Andhra Pradesh detained actor and YSRCP leader Posani Krishna Murali on Tuesday as part of the state’s crackdown on individuals who allegedly made controversial remarks and acted arbitrarily during the previous YSRCP regime. Following formal intimation to the Rayadurgam police, Posani is being transferred to Andhra Pradesh, where he will be presented before the Rajampet administration.
According to reports, Posani engaged in a heated argument with the police officers who arrived to detain him, attempting to resist the arrest. However, officials successfully took him into custody after sustained efforts.

Multiple Cases Registered Across Districts
Posani Krishna Murali, who previously served as chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation (APFDC) during the YSRCP government, is facing multiple cases across various districts. Complaints were filed against him for allegedly making derogatory remarks against current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh during his tenure.
Additionally, Posani was accused of making excessive criticisms against members of the film industry. Further complaints were lodged against him for allegedly addressing TTD Chairman BRS Naidu in singular terms and making inappropriate allegations regarding a conspiracy to loot the Tirumala temple. Cases were registered in Bapatla, Anantapur, Narasaraopet (Palnadu district), Yadamari (Chittoor district), and Puttur (Tirupati district), based on which police took him into custody.
