Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Education Department has identified 890 fake sports certificates submitted by candidates applying for Physical Education Teacher posts under the sports quota in the Mega DSC 2025. The department has withheld the sports quota merit list until verification is complete.
The Mega DSC 2025 provides a 3 percent reservation for sports quota candidates, up from the previous 2 percent, covering 421 Physical Education Teacher positions. Officials discovered that many candidates submitted certificates unrelated to official state or national competitions, and several certificates were issued by unrecognized sports associations, sometimes in exchange for bribes.
SHaP Chairman Ravinayudu confirmed that all sports certificates are being thoroughly scrutinized. DSC convener M.V. Krishnareddy stated that call letters for merit candidates will be released shortly. Candidates can download their call letters via personal login on the AP DSC website from noon, and notifications will also be sent via SMS. Certificate verification across all districts is scheduled to begin on August 28 at 9 a.m.
