Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita experienced a sudden health episode during a Legislative Assembly session. Feeling unwell mid-discussion, she was immediately attended to by staff and escorted out of the assembly chamber. She was then shifted to Ramesh Hospital, a leading private hospital in Vijayawada, for further medical evaluation and care.
Upon admission, doctors conducted urgent tests and noted that her blood pressure had spiked to 160. Medical officials indicated that the fluctuations in blood pressure likely caused her dizziness and fatigue. She is receiving appropriate treatment and her condition has been reported as stable. Doctors confirmed that there is no cause for public alarm.
Sources close to the Home Minister said that her hectic schedule over recent weeks—including continuous assembly sessions, departmental reviews, and multiple official visits—has left her with little opportunity for rest. The prolonged workload is believed to have contributed to her sudden discomfort and exhaustion.
Anita is currently resting at the hospital under medical supervision. Reports suggest that she may be discharged in the coming hours once her condition stabilizes, allowing her to resume her official duties.
