New Delhi: In a significant development in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case, the Andhra Pradesh government has filed an additional affidavit in the Supreme Court, attaching a report submitted to the Pulivendula court. The affidavit alleges that MP Avinash Reddy attempted to mislead the investigation and implicate Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter YS Sunitha and her husband Narreddy Rajasekhar Reddy in the case.
According to the affidavit, under Avinash Reddy’s influence, CBI officer Ram Singh registered cases against Sunitha, Rajasekhar Reddy, and himself. The Andhra Pradesh government claimed that a deliberate attempt was made to derail the probe.

The document further states that Krishna Reddy, a key witness and former personal assistant to Vivekananda Reddy, came under pressure from YSRCP leaders in Pulivendula. In 2023, he filed a private complaint against Sunitha, Rajasekhar Reddy, and CBI SP Ram Singh in the Pulivendula court, which subsequently directed the registration of cases against them on December 15, 2023.
Additionally, Krishna Reddy alleged that during the CBI inquiry in September 2023, SP Ram Singh physically assaulted him and forced him to name Avinash Reddy and Shiva Shankar Reddy as suspects. He also claimed that Sunitha and her husband were pressured into providing statements in line with the CBI officer’s instructions, under threat of repercussions.
