Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced WhatsApp Governance, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country to provide seamless citizen services. Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the service at his residence in Undavalli. This initiative enables citizens to access government documents and services directly through WhatsApp. The official WhatsApp number for the service is 919552300009.

161 Services in First Phase

In an effort to eliminate the inconvenience of visiting government offices for essential documents, the state government has integrated 161 services into the WhatsApp platform. The government signed an agreement with Meta on October 22, 2024, to implement the initiative.

Departments Covered Under WhatsApp Governance

Endowments Department – Darshan ticket bookings, accommodation, and donations for major temples.
Revenue Department – Issuance of birth and death certificates, land records, and other revenue-related documents.
Electricity Department – Bill payments and service-related inquiries.
RTC (Road Transport Corporation) – Transport-related services.
Anna Canteens – Access to subsidized meal services.
CM Relief Fund (CMRF) – Application submission and status tracking.
Municipal Services – Civic amenities and related services.

The Andhra Pradesh government aims to streamline governance by making citizen services more accessible and efficient through digital platforms.
