Hyderabad: AP Fiber Net has issued a legal notice to renowned filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma regarding alleged irregularities in the movie Vyuham. The notice, which also implicates the former MD of Fiber Net and others, follows allegations of financial discrepancies in a project agreement.
According to AP Fiber Net Chairman G.V. Reddy, the organization had signed an agreement with the Vyuham team, agreeing to pay Rs 2.15 crore for the film. Of this amount, ₹1.15 crore was already disbursed. The agreement stipulated that payments would be based on the film’s viewership. However, Reddy disclosed that the movie garnered only 1,863 views on Fiber Net, leading to an effective cost of Rs 11,000 per view.
Reddy remarked, “For each viewer, the expense should have been ₹100, but the actual cost has soared to Rs 11,000 per view. This raises significant concerns about fund utilization.” The legal notice seeks clarification from Ram Gopal Varma and others involved in the project.
The situation has drawn widespread attention, with many awaiting Varma’s response to the allegations.
