Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh CID has issued a fresh notice to former MP Vijayasai Reddy, directing him to appear for questioning on March 25 in connection with the Kakinada Port share transfer case. This comes after he was previously questioned on March 12 following an earlier notice issued on March 10.
After his initial interrogation, Vijayasai Reddy denied any involvement in the case, terming it politically motivated. He clarified that his association with Kakinada Port owner KV Rao was limited to mere acquaintance and asserted that no financial transactions took place between them.

Addressing the allegations, Vijayasai Reddy stated that he became aware of the case through a mutual friend who facilitated a conversation between him and KV Rao. He further claimed that KV Rao informed him that his name was included in the case on the instructions of a senior official. Vijayasai Reddy also clarified that he had no role in introducing Vikranth Reddy to KV Rao and had conveyed the same to CID officials.
