Hyderabad: The much-anticipated film Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu, has been officially postponed once again. Initially slated for release on July 11, the makers announced the delay through a social media post on Saturday, citing the pending completion of VFX work as the primary reason.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Ghaati is a socio-political crime drama that marks his second collaboration with Anushka after Vedam. In a statement posted on X, the team described the film as “not just a movie, but an echo, a forest breeze, a story born from the soil,” and expressed confidence that the wait would deliver a memorable experience for audiences. The new release date is expected to be announced soon.

The film is produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi under the banners of UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments. Ramya Krishna and Jagapathi Babu play pivotal roles alongside the lead pair.
Ghaati follows the journey of a tribal woman, portrayed by Anushka, who evolves from a victim of the illegal marijuana trade into a criminal mastermind. The film promises a powerful performance by Anushka in a gritty, intense role.
The digital streaming rights of the film have reportedly been acquired by Amazon Prime Video for a substantial amount. With its teaser and songs already creating strong buzz, the delay has left fans eagerly awaiting the new release date.
