Renowned Kollywood music director Anirudh Ravichander has officially responded to ongoing rumours linking him to SunRisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran. Speculation has been circulating on social media suggesting that the composer is planning to marry Kavya. Addressing the matter, Anirudh took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Marriage! Aha… Chill out guys. Please stop spreading rumours,” effectively dismissing the claims and urging fans not to circulate baseless speculation.
The rumours gained traction following Anirudh’s collaboration with Sun Pictures, the production house owned by Kavya’s father Kalanithi Maran, for the blockbuster film Jailer. Anirudh’s music played a significant role in the film’s global success, which reportedly grossed over ₹650 crore. As a gesture of gratitude, director Nelson Dilipkumar and Anirudh were reportedly gifted brand-new Porsche cars along with substantial financial bonuses. Actor Rajinikanth was also said to have received a BMW X7 as a gift.
