Legal Proceedings and High Court Intervention
A case was registered against Shyamala based on a complaint filed by a social activist. The police had issued summons for her appearance, but she instead approached the Telangana High Court seeking anticipatory bail and filed a quash petition. The High Court granted her anticipatory bail, directing the police not to arrest her but to proceed with questioning after issuing notices.
In compliance with the court’s directive, Shyamala appeared for interrogation on Monday. She had allegedly been promoting the betting app Andhra 365, which is currently under investigation.
