New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has revealed his plans after retiring from active politics. Speaking at an interaction with women from cooperative societies of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, Shah said he intends to dedicate his post-political life to studying Vedic scriptures and promoting natural farming.
“After retirement, I will read the Vedas and Upanishads and devote my time to natural farming,” Shah stated. He expressed concern over the health risks posed by chemical fertilizers and emphasized the numerous benefits of organic agricultural practices, which, he said, not only safeguard health but also enhance productivity.
Reflecting on his journey as Union Minister of Cooperation, Shah said the portfolio holds immense value. “When I was assigned the Home Ministry, many considered it the most significant. But when I was entrusted with the Cooperation Ministry, I believed it was even more important. It serves the interests of farmers, the poor, rural communities, and livestock,” he said.
