Hyderabad: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming industries worldwide, creating both challenges and opportunities in the job market. According to a new report by labor market research firm Beyond the Buzz, employees with AI skills are projected to earn 28% higher salaries in the coming years compared to those without such expertise.

The study, which analyzed over 1.3 billion job postings globally, revealed that while AI-driven automation is contributing to layoffs, particularly in IT and related sectors, professionals equipped with AI knowledge are in increasing demand. This demand extends beyond technology roles to non-technical fields such as human resources, education, finance, and content creation.

Experts predict that within five years, AI integration will be widespread across almost every sector. Companies are increasingly adopting AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, CoPilot, and DeepSeek to cut costs, replacing traditional roles with automation. However, workers with proficiency in these tools have seen job opportunities rise by 800% in the past three years.

The report highlights that candidates with AI skills are being offered an average of Rs z15 lakh more annually than those in similar positions without such expertise. Importantly, many of these high-paying roles do not require technical degrees, allowing individuals from non-technical backgrounds to enter AI-driven job markets.

Industry experts recommend that young professionals and job seekers focus on developing AI competencies to secure better career prospects and withstand the ongoing wave of automation.
