Rajasthan police triggered a major security alert after seizing a huge cache of explosives in Nagaur district during Republic Day celebrations. Acting on specific intelligence, officers raided an agricultural field in Harsaur village and recovered around 9,550 kilograms of ammonium nitrate packed in 187 gunny bags. One individual was also taken into custody during the operation.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of Nagaur SP Mridul Kachhawa. Officials highlighted that ammonium nitrate, the chemical seized in this case, has been used in several major terror incidents previously, including the deadly November 2025 blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.
