A distressing incident occurred in Adilabad, where a farmer, unable to cope with continuous harassment from bank officials, tragically took his own life. Yadav Devarao, a farmer from Reniguda village in Bela Mandal, consumed pesticide at an ICICI bank branch and ended his life.

According to the reports ,Devarao had borrowed a loan from the bank but was unable to repay it due to various reasons. Bank officials reportedly subjected him to repeated pressure for repayment. On his recent visit to the bank, he tragically committed suicide. Family members claim that the constant harassment by bank staff had deeply affected him.
Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, with further details pending. This is not an isolated case, as there have been several reports in the past where farmers, unable to withstand the pressure from financial institutions, have resorted to suicide.
