Actor Darshan, currently an inmate at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Jail, has been transferred to Bellary Jail as per directives from the Bengaluru High Court. Reports indicate that other accused individuals in the case will also be relocated to Bellary Jail.
Allegations have emerged claiming that Darshan, who is implicated in the murder case of his fan, Rama Swamy, has been receiving VIP treatment while in custody. Evidence includes a photograph of Darshan seated in a chair smoking a cigarette within the jail premises, and a video of him making a video call, which has recently gone viral on social media. These images and videos suggest that Darshan has been afforded special privileges.
It is reported that a rowdy-sheeter, Velu, secretly captured these images and shared them via cell phone. The photograph also shows Darshan in the company of rowdy-sheeter Wilson Gordon Nag, which has led to widespread criticism.
The Karnataka government has acknowledged the controversy surrounding Darshan’s alleged VIP treatment and is expected to address the situation and implement necessary actions.
