Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has responded to allegations that he “bought” his recent Filmfare Award, sparking widespread discussion across social media. The actor won the Best Actor award for his performance in the film I Want to Talk, but a film critic accused him of winning the honour for a movie that “no one watched” and claimed that awards in the industry are “purchased.”
Reacting to the criticism, Abhishek dismissed the allegations in a composed yet firm manner. “I have never bought a single award, nor do I have any PR team working for me. The only things I know are hard work, sweat, and tears,” he stated. The actor further added, “I don’t know if you’ll believe me, but I know how to silence such talk — by working harder. I will prove that you are wrong about me.”
His response has drawn significant attention online, with many industry colleagues and fans praising his dignified handling of the controversy.
