Visakhapatnam District Education Officer Prem Kumar announced that the Andhra Pradesh 10th Class public examinations will commence on March 17 and conclude on April 1. The exams will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM.
The Andhra Pradesh Open School Society (APOSS) exams will also take place from March 17 to 28. A total of 29,927 students from Visakhapatnam district will appear for the exams, including 26,523 regular candidates and 1,404 private students. Additionally, 2,124 students will take the vocational trade exams. Among them, 15,094 boys and 13,429 girls will write the regular exams.

Special arrangements have been made for 265 differently-abled students, with exams scheduled on the ground floor for their convenience. The district administration has identified 134 examination centers, categorized into 48 Category A centers, 71 Category B centers, and 9 Category C centers. CCTV cameras have been installed in six sensitive centers to ensure security.
A team of 134 Chief Superintendents, 134 Departmental Officers, and 1,472 invigilators has been appointed for smooth conduct of the exams. For APOSS exams, 15 Chief Superintendents, 15 Departmental Officers, and 40 invigilators have been assigned. Basic facilities, including furniture, drinking water, and restrooms, have been arranged for the students’ convenience.

Section 144 Imposed at Exam Centers
To maintain law and order, Section 144 has been enforced at all exam centers. First-aid personnel and ORS sachets will be available. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will provide free transportation for students upon showing their hall ticket. Students have been strictly prohibited from carrying electronic devices such as mobile phones and smartwatches inside the exam centers.
