The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has announced its candidates for the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections under the MLA quota in Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has finalized three candidates—Kavali Greshma (SC), BT Naidu (BC), and Beeda Ravichandra (BC). With the nomination deadline set to expire on Monday, the selected candidates are preparing to file their nominations.
A total of five MLC seats are being contested under the MLA quota. Of these, one seat has been allocated to the Jana Sena Party (JSP), with Konidela Nagababu filing his nomination. The TDP leadership has been engaged in deliberations over the past few days to finalize candidates for the remaining four seats.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had sought a seat under this quota. After discussions, the TDP decided to allocate one MLC seat to the BJP. This adjustment has led to internal reassessments, with TDP leadership reportedly assuring certain aspirants that they will be considered when seven MLC seats fall vacant in 2027.
Sources indicate that TDP has reached out to former Pithapuram MLA Varma, former minister Jawahar, Duvvarapu Rama Rao, and TD Janardhan regarding the latest developments.
