Rangareddy: A major fire broke out in a two-story building in Puppalaguda, Narsingi mandal, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. Thick smoke engulfed the premises as the fire spread rapidly. Firefighters responded swiftly, but despite their efforts, the incident ended in tragedy.
According to officials, three people, a child and two women were trapped inside a room on the first floor. Fire personnel managed to rescue them and rushed them to the hospital in an unconscious state due to severe smoke inhalation. However, doctors later confirmed that all three identified as Sejira (7), Sahana (40), and Jameela (70) had succumbed to their injuries.

Gas Cylinder Explosions Believed to be the Cause
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was triggered by explosions of three gas cylinders inside the building. Authorities are currently examining further details to ascertain the exact cause.
Meanwhile, five other occupants were successfully rescued. Officials stated that they received an emergency call at approximately 5:30 PM, reporting an attempt to contain the fire on the ground floor. Upon arrival, they were informed that five individuals were trapped on the top floor. Firefighters used ladders to break open the door and gain access.
A police official confirmed that the rescued victims were found unconscious due to smoke inhalation. They were immediately placed on stretchers and transported to a hospital, but efforts to save them were unsuccessful. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
