Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged that the police are acting arbitrarily under the TDP government. Speaking to the media after visiting Vallabhaneni Vamsi at the Vijayawada jail, Jagan stated that the TDP will not remain in power forever and vowed to hold those responsible for injustices accountable. He accused the ruling party of suppressing opposition voices and misusing law enforcement for political motives.

Jagan claimed that Vamsi was targeted due to his political rise within his own community, despite having previously played a key role in Chandrababu’s leadership. He criticized Nara Lokesh, alleging that Vamsi’s arrest was premeditated and part of a larger scheme to silence dissent.

The former chief minister further accused the TDP of manipulating law and order and filing false cases against its political opponents. He pointed to alleged irregularities in the Piduguralla municipal elections, stating that the TDP had secured the Vice Chairman position despite lacking a single elected member. He also accused the party of using similar tactics in Tirupati and claimed that YSRCP’s success in Tuni (30 out of 30 seats) led to deliberate election postponements.
Jagan warned that such actions threaten the democratic process and called for accountability in the state’s governance.
