Karimnagar: A heated altercation between Jagitial MLA Sanjay and Huzurabad MLA Kaushik Reddy at a review meeting at the Karimnagar Collectorate on January 13 escalated into a physical scuffle, drawing attention to the current political climate in Telangana. The incident occurred when Kaushik Reddy questioned Sanjay’s party affiliation during the meeting, leading to a war of words that eventually turned physical.
Despite attempts from onlookers to intervene, the situation worsened when Kaushik Reddy advanced toward Sanjay, leading to a confrontation between the two. Police intervened and escorted Kaushik Reddy out of the meeting to prevent further escalation.
The incident was witnessed by several ministers, including Uttam, Ponnam, and Sridhar Babu, and has since been widely discussed in political circles. Video footage of the scuffle has gone viral, adding fuel to the ongoing political discourse.
Kaushik Reddy publicly criticized Sanjay, accusing him of winning elections with funds from KCR and switching parties without shame. “If you have the courage, resign and contest again,” Reddy challenged. He also warned that the ten MLAs who have switched parties would face obstacles in their future political endeavors.
