Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun has been issued a notice by the police in connection with the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2 on December 4. The police have asked him to appear at the Chikkadpally Police Station on 24th December at 11 AM for questioning.
The incident, which occurred when Allu Arjun visited the theatre with his family, led to a large crowd gathering outside, resulting in a stampede. In the chaos, a woman named Revathi lost her life, and her son, Sritej, was severely injured. Sritej remains in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The police have registered a case against 18 individuals in connection with the incident, with Allu Arjun listed as the 11th accused. Recently, the actor was arrested and presented in court, where the High Court granted him an interim bail for four weeks.
In response to the tragedy, Mythri Movie Makers, the production company behind Pushpa 2, has provided financial assistance to the deceased’s family. Producer Naveen Yerneni visited Sritej’s family at KIMS Hospital on Monday and handed over a cheque for Rs. 50 lakh to the family of the deceased.
