During the meeting, Lokesh discussed the operational procedures for the Mega DSC and highlighted the objective of providing opportunities to as many candidates as possible. He announced plans to honor outstanding educators with the Best Teacher Awards at an event scheduled for November 11.
To enhance educational standards, Lokesh proposed involving parents as active partners and suggested organizing a Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) in the first week of December. He stressed the importance of completing teacher promotions and transfers before the commencement of the next academic year.
Officials reported that the implementation of the APAR ID program for school students in the state has reached 57.48% completion, and they urged for expedited processing. The meeting also concluded with a decision to ensure that report cards are distributed to all students in government schools while placing a strong emphasis on improving school rankings.
Lokesh called for government schools to be developed to meet the standards of private institutions, urging action to enhance student attendance. He directed officials to prioritize the provision of basic infrastructure in all schools, including toilets, water supply, benches, leak-proof buildings, and painting.
Additionally, he recommended reviewing menu options for the mid-day meal program by categorizing the state into four zones. The minister indicated that steps should be taken to establish at least one government junior college in each mandal by next year. He also emphasized the need to focus on improving pass percentages in government colleges and suggested conducting bridge courses for underprivileged students as necessary.
