Hyderabad: The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has taken a significant step to provide Indiramma homes for the underprivileged, announcing a new app-based selection process to ensure transparency. State Revenue, Housing, and Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy revealed that the app would facilitate fair selection, regardless of political or regional affiliations.
The minister reviewed the app’s design at his office in the Secretariat on Saturday, emphasizing that it aims to deliver housing to every eligible individual across Telangana. Following his review, Minister Srinivasa Reddy recommended a few refinements to enhance user experience and accessibility.
App to Roll Out Next Week
The app, with modifications based on the minister’s feedback, is set for launch next week. Minister Reddy highlighted that preparations for the Indiramma Housing Scheme are in their final stages, with a Telugu version of the app to better serve rural residents. He emphasized the government’s priority to leverage technology in ensuring that the program, from beneficiary selection to completion, is streamlined and efficient.
Minister Reddy reiterated the Telangana government’s goal to provide homes for every eligible person lacking housing, stating that all administrative agencies are aligned to achieve this vision.
