Recently, a shocking incident occurred in Secunderabad, where a miscreant vandalized the idol of Muthyalamma, causing an uproar in the community. In response, activists from the VHP and various Hindu organizations organized a rally in Secunderabad on Saturday, leading to clashes. Local residents called for a bandh (shutdown) in Secunderabad on Saturday to protest the vandalism of the idol.

During the rally organized by Hindu groups, intense clashes broke out between the protesters and the police. Protesters threw slippers, chairs, and water bottles at the police who attempted to block the rally, prompting the police to resort to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd.

In light of the tense situation in Secunderabad, authorities have suspended internet services to prevent religious clashes. Currently, local businesses and residents are voluntarily observing the Secunderabad bandh. The police were deployed to the area to ensure that no further tensions arose during the rally, but disturbances occurred nonetheless. A heavy police presence has been established around Secunderabad and its surrounding areas.

A few days ago, an intruder had destroyed the idol of the goddess at the Muthyalamma temple in Kumminiguda, Secunderabad. The individual climbed onto the temple roof and kicked the idol, causing it to fall and break. CCTV footage captured the incident, and the video subsequently went viral on social media. Local residents apprehended the suspect and assaulted him before handing him over to the police. Authorities have registered multiple charges against the accused.
