Hyderabad: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu conducted a meeting with ministers and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to discuss critical issues regarding the implementation of free sand and alcohol regulations in the state. During the session, Naidu emphasized the importance of executing the free sand scheme, stating, “I have assured the public about free sand, and it is imperative that this scheme is implemented effectively.”

Naidu cautioned against interference in alcohol regulations, highlighting that he is aware of some MLAs neglecting their responsibilities. “I have all the details regarding those who are not paying attention to their cadre,” he remarked. He further noted, “No MLA can win without the support of the cadre and the party.”

The Chief Minister announced that he would utilize an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) to collect feedback on the performance of the MLAs. Reflecting on the party’s formation in 2014 with only 104 members, he asserted, “A larger number of MLAs should lead to greater benefits for the public.”

Naidu made it clear that he would not tolerate any actions that could damage the party’s reputation. “Any individual MLA’s actions that bring a bad name to the party or myself will not be accepted,” he warned, urging MLAs to show respect towards Members of Parliament (MPs) and to work collaboratively.

He expressed his disappointment with certain MLAs for disregarding their cadre responsibilities, asserting, “This behavior is unacceptable. No individual can win without the support of the party and the cadre.” Naidu reiterated that those who win through the party must adhere to its principles and decisions, emphasizing that political governance requires active partnership in public welfare.

In relation to the sand policy, Naidu instructed officials, “Do not allow anyone to interfere. I have clearly stated that if mistakes occur, no one will be spared. If the sand policy is not implemented correctly, I will hold officials accountable, and they must enforce regulations strictly.”

He reiterated his commitment to the public regarding the sand policy, stating, “We must ensure the government’s reputation remains intact.” On the topic of alcohol regulations, Naidu advised, “Do not permit any meddling. I aim to help all of you win again in 2029, so your performance must be commendable.” He concluded by indicating that he would soon gather feedback through IVRS regarding the performance of the MLAs and urged them to prioritize resolving public grievances.
