Following the unexpected outcome of the Haryana elections, where the BJP secured a hat-trick victory despite exit polls favoring the Congress, senior Congress leaders have raised serious concerns. In a press conference, veteran leader Jairam Ramesh, along with other party members, stated that the party does not accept the election results.
Ramesh alleged that EVM tampering played a crucial role in altering the will of the people, accusing the BJP of manipulating the electoral process. He claimed that the Congress had received reports of EVM tampering in at least three districts, alongside irregularities in vote counting across several other areas. The party has initiated consultations with the Election Commission regarding these discrepancies.
Ramesh further criticized the election outcome, stating that the results are inconsistent with the ground realities in Haryana. The Congress is currently gathering detailed information to support its claims.
