Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced plans to roll out digital health cards for the state’s residents within the next 30 days. Speaking at the inauguration of the Durgabai Deshmukh Renova Cancer Center on Thursday, the CM revealed that steps are being taken to digitize health profiles for all citizens, aiming to streamline medical services across the state.
The Chief Minister lauded the Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital for its commitment to providing medical care to the underprivileged, especially in cancer treatment, which he acknowledged as a significant burden on the poor. “There is an urgent need to make cancer treatment accessible to everyone in the state,” said the CM.
Highlighting the frequent need for primary tests due to the absence of comprehensive health records, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of the digital health card initiative. He noted that the state government is prioritizing healthcare and education, aiming to provide low-cost medical services to the economically disadvantaged.
The digital health cards will include past treatment details, enhancing the continuity of care for patients. The CM also assured that proposals submitted by the hospital management would be considered for implementation, reaffirming the state’s commitment to improving healthcare access.
