Hyderabad: The crackdown on illegal structures built on lakes in Hyderabad is intensifying day by day. In a significant operation, demolition work extended into the night in Kishtareddypet, where a hospital and two apartment complexes in Survey No. 164 were brought down. Powerful machinery, commonly referred to as “Baahubali” machines, was deployed to dismantle these unauthorized constructions.
Additionally, in Survey No. 12 under the Ameenpur municipal limits, 23 houses were demolished as part of the operation. Among the demolished buildings was a five-story structure, while another was identified by officials as belonging to Congress leader Podala Kanti Kalyan from Nellore district.
Authorities are intensifying efforts to clear illegal encroachments on public lands, with the operation expected to continue across other areas in the city.
