Allegations of adulteration in Tirupati laddu have sparked significant discussions across the country. In this context, Bheemili MLA and former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao expressed doubts regarding the quality of the Simhadri Appanna laddu in Visakhapatnam. Today, he inspected the storage facilities where the annaprasadam is kept, raising concerns about the quality of the materials used for laddu and pulihora.
During the inspection, Ganta expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the ghee and other ingredients. He highlighted that cow ghee is priced at Rs 650 in the market, questioning how a company from Uttar Pradesh could supply it at just ₹385. Ganta Srinivasa Rao criticized the officials for the lack of quality in the ghee used for the prasadam. He has directed the Food Corporation to take samples and provide a report on the findings.
