Hyderabad: Congress leader Jagga Reddy has accused the BJP of promising a merger with the BRS as a condition for granting bail to Kavitha. Jagga Reddy alleged that this deal would lead to a joint BJP-BRS contest in the upcoming elections, which he described as a “return gift” from KCR to Modi. He expressed skepticism about the expedited bail granted to Kavitha, involved in the liquor mafia, within five months, compared to Sisodia’s 17-month wait. Jagga Reddy questioned the rapidity of Kavitha’s bail and claimed that the BJP and BRS have conspired to undermine Congress in Telangana.
Jagga Reddy criticized KTR for his social media activity ahead of the judge’s bail order, suggesting a pre-arranged agreement between BJP and BRS to either merge or form an alliance before the elections. He demanded that court actions be taken against KTR for his premature announcement of the bail. Jagga Reddy contended that BRS promoted Kavitha’s bail on social media even while the court proceedings were ongoing.
According to Jagga Reddy, the bail was part of a deal between the BJP government and BRS, with prior information available to KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao before the judge’s official announcement. He criticized the current administration as unusual and claimed that the BJP has no real chance of gaining power in Telangana, using the liquor case as part of their strategy with BRS.
Jagga Reddy also questioned why BRS, anticipated to win in Medak, only secured a third position and noted that KCR relinquished his parliamentary constituency for Kavitha. He attributed Congress’s reduced seat count to the BJP-BRS alliance and criticized their political maneuvers aimed at weakening Congress. Jagga Reddy demanded action against the KCR family, emphasizing that their issue lies with BRS’s premature statements.
