Hyderabad – BRS MLAs expressed strong dissatisfaction over the lack of details on job vacancies in the job calendar. They staged a protest at Gun Park, leading to their arrest, including prominent leaders Harish Rao and K.T. Rama Rao. The police attempted to forcibly transport the arrested MLAs to Telangana Bhavan, resulting in a tense atmosphere.
During the protest, Harish Rao criticized the Telangana Legislative Assembly, comparing it to a ‘Dushasana Sabha.’ He questioned the government’s respect for women, highlighting the alleged mistreatment of female MLAs. Harish Rao accused Assembly leader Danam Nagender of provoking MLAs to use abusive language, likening Nagender’s speech to that of a rowdy-sheeter. Harish Rao demanded the immediate revocation of Nagender’s membership, recalling his similar behavior during the Telangana movement.
Harish Rao mocked the job calendar, labeling it a “joke calendar,” and criticized the avoidance of discussion on the issue. He urged the unemployed to hold Congress Party leaders accountable and vowed not to relent until Congress provides 200,000 jobs.
Harish Rao declared this day a ‘black day’ in Legislative Assembly history. He thanked Akbaruddin Owaisi for demanding an apology from Nagender and questioned whether Hyderabad is Nagender’s personal territory, raising concerns about the impact of such behavior on investments in the city.
