State government advisor and senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbar has responded to the controversy surrounding a viral audio clip that has triggered significant turbulence within Telangana Congress circles. He submitted a written explanation to the TPCC Disciplinary Committee in response to a show-cause notice issued in connection with the matter, categorically denying that the voice in the audio circulating on social media is his.

Addressing the issue, Shabbar Ali stated that the audio clip is entirely fabricated and has been morphed with deliberate intent. He alleged that certain individuals are conspiring to destroy his reputation and his 45-year political career through such means. He also pointed out that he had personally filed a police complaint against the fake audio even before the party’s disciplinary committee issued him a notice seeking an explanation.

Shabbar Ali was equally emphatic in rejecting any suggestion that he had made disparaging remarks against TPCC President Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud. He stated that he has known Mahesh Kumar Goud for 40 years and considers him a brother, adding that certain vested interests within the party are behind this false propaganda, seeking to create a rift between the two leaders for personal political gain.

Asserting his commitment to the party, Shabbar Ali said he has stood by the principles and ideology of the Congress for 45 years and would never act in a manner detrimental to the organisation under any circumstances. The viral audio in question purportedly features him making remarks about party positions being sold for money. The clip gained significant traction against the backdrop of internal factional tensions within the Kamareddy Congress unit, making it a subject of intense political discussion.

Responding to the controversy, TPCC President Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud said that the people of Nizamabad are well aware of his character and his assets, and expressed regret that a leader of Shabbar Ali’s experience would make such remarks.

Meanwhile, Congress party sources indicated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered a full-scale internal inquiry into the audio leak and into individuals allegedly engaged in covert activities while remaining within the party. The disciplinary committee’s next course of action in the matter is now being watched with keen interest across political circles in Telangana.
