Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made striking remarks during a media interaction in Delhi, expressing strong confidence in his leadership and the state’s administration. He asserted, “I am the king of Telangana… I am the minister… no one can challenge me here,” and projected that he will continue as Chief Minister for the next 10–12 years.
On national political developments, Revanth Reddy predicted that the 2029 general elections will proceed on schedule. He also hinted at a possible six-month extension of his government’s term and suggested that the Congress party is likely to return to power in the subsequent term.
Addressing ongoing controversies, he dismissed claims of internal factionalism, stating that KCR is already under self-imposed restrictions limited to his farmhouse. He added that the phone-tapping case has reached a climax stage and emphasized that the government will act strictly based on evidence, not according to the wishes of KCR or Harish Rao. He also questioned the Centre’s delay in ordering a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project.
Looking ahead to state-level reforms, Revanth Reddy said no changes are expected in district boundaries or reorganization until 2027. He further noted that major initiatives, including constituency delimitation and the implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill, are likely to take place in 2027.
