Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to enrol in a week-long executive programme titled “Leadership for the 21st Century” at Harvard University in the United States. Ahead of this, the Chief Minister is scheduled to depart for Davos today to participate in an international investment summit. After the conclusion of the Davos meet, he will travel to the US on January 23. Revanth Reddy will attend the course from January 25 to 30 under the Executive Education programme of the Harvard Kennedy School and is expected to return to Hyderabad on February 2 after receiving a certification from Harvard University.
The specialised programme at the Harvard Kennedy School is designed for experienced leaders and focuses on leadership in complex and uncertain situations. It emphasises managing change and conflict, decision-making under pressure, and leading through influence rather than authority. Conducted in person at the Massachusetts campus, the course is aimed at political leaders, senior government officials, corporate executives, CEOs, senior managers and leaders of non-governmental organisations.
The curriculum includes case studies, group discussions, deliberations on real-life leadership challenges and self-reflection exercises to help participants better understand their leadership styles. Through practical training modules, the programme seeks to equip leaders with tools to handle conflict, motivate teams towards change and navigate evolving governance and organisational challenges. Notably, Revanth Reddy will be the first Chief Minister from India to directly attend such an executive programme at Harvard University.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister is scheduled to leave for Davos at 10 a.m. After completing his Medaram visit, he will travel by helicopter to Shamshabad airport to board his flight. Industries Minister Sridhar Babu has already reached Davos, while Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and senior officials will accompany the Chief Minister. Following the investment summit, Revanth Reddy will proceed to the United States on January 23 before returning to Hyderabad on February 2 after completing the course.
