Football superstar Lionel Messi is set to visit Hyderabad on December 13 to participate in a friendly football match at Uppal Stadium. The match will feature Singareni RR-9 and Aparna Messi All Stars, with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy representing Singareni and Messi playing for the Aparna side. Scheduled to start at 7 PM, the 20-minute game will see Messi and the Chief Minister take the field during the final five minutes.
Fans will have the opportunity to take exclusive photographs with Messi during a “Meet and Greet” session at Falaknuma Palace, though tickets are priced at Rs 9.95 lakh per photo (plus GST), with only 100 passes available. Tickets can be purchased via the District app.
Messi will arrive in Hyderabad at 4 PM on December 13 and reach Uppal Stadium by 7 PM. International stars Rodrigo De Paul (Argentina) and Luis Suárez (Uruguay) will also participate. Fifteen children, including five trained players and ten talented underprivileged kids, will join the match. A football clinic will follow, where Messi, a UNICEF brand ambassador, will guide children on skills, techniques, and penalty shootouts, awarding prizes to winners. CM Revanth Reddy will felicitate Messi during a parade at the stadium. The football event, which includes a musical concert, will last about three hours, after which Messi will stay overnight in Hyderabad before flying to Mumbai on Sunday.
Organisers confirmed that both teams will receive “The GOAT Cup” after the match. Tickets start at ₹1,300 for general seating and Rs 22,000 for corporate boxes, with online purchase via the District app only. The match will also be streamed live on SonyLIV.
