Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced an ambitious economic vision for the state during the Telangana Rising Global Summit, stating that Telangana is advancing strongly on the development path with clear milestones set for 2047. He said the government aims to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047 and is seeking ideas from industrialists and economists to support this transformation. The goal aligns with the Centre’s national target of becoming a $30 trillion economy by the same timeline.
Revanth emphasized that Telangana intends to contribute 10% to the country’s GDP by 2047, highlighting it as a challenging but attainable objective. “Although the population of Telangana is only 2.9% of the national population, the state already contributes 5% to India’s income. With collective effort and sustained progress, we will achieve every goal we have set,” he affirmed. The Chief Minister also credited Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for making the dream of Telangana statehood a reality.

The CM explained that the state has been divided into three strategic zones dedicated to the service, manufacturing and agriculture sectors. These have been named the Cure, Pure and Rare Zones respectively, reflecting the government’s focus on structured sectoral development. The model is designed to expand the industrial base and attract long-term global investments to the state.
Revanth revealed that Telangana is drawing inspiration from China’s Guangdong Province, which achieved significant economic transformation by attracting large-scale investments within two decades. He stated that the Guangdong model would be implemented in Telangana while benchmarking the growth patterns of China, Japan, Germany, South Korea and Singapore. The Chief Minister reiterated that with global collaboration and strong domestic efforts, Telangana is poised to become one of India’s leading economic powerhouses by 2047.
