Hyderabad: Polling for the Jubilee Hills by-election has concluded, with approximately 4.01 lakh voters eligible to cast their ballots across 407 polling stations in the constituency. Voting began at 7 a.m. and continued until 6 p.m., with 47.16 percent voter turnout recorded by 5 p.m. Voters in line after the official closing time were allowed to cast their votes.

The by-election saw 58 candidates contesting, prompting election officials to deploy four EVMs at each polling station. Around 2,000 police personnel, along with CRPF units, were deployed to ensure smooth conduct and maintain law and order. Minor incidents were reported, including scuffles at some booths in Shaikpet, where police resorted to lathi charge. BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha staged protests alleging fraudulent votes were being cast in the names of deceased voters, including demonstrations at Krishna Nagar polling booth in Yusufguda.

Several EVMs reportedly malfunctioned at different polling stations, and arguments broke out between BRS and Congress leaders in some locations. A total of 2,060 election staff were deployed to manage the polling process. Vote counting for the by-election is scheduled for November 14 at the Kotla Vijayabhasker Reddy Stadium.
