Kurnool police have taken Vemuri Vinod, the owner of the bus involved in the recent Kurnool Travels accident, into custody. He was immediately presented in court and remanded.
The accident occurred on the Kurnool highway, where a bus caught fire after colliding with a bike lying on the road, resulting in the deaths of 19 passengers, who were completely burned.

A case has already been registered against both the bus driver and the owner. The bus driver, Lakshmayya, has been arrested. Investigations revealed several irregularities with the bus, including pending challans, registration issues, and allegations that a seater bus was illegally converted into a sleeper. Following these findings, police have registered cases against both the owner and the driver.
