Pakistan has strongly objected to the United States’ designation of The Resistance Front (TRF) as a terrorist organization and its labeling as a front for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Terming the allegations baseless, Pakistan clarified that it has no links to TRF or LeT and claimed it had already dismantled the group and its network. Despite being repeatedly accused of backing LeT, Pakistan reiterated its opposition to terrorism and accused India of launching unnecessary and misleading propaganda.
Premature Allegations Without Investigation: Pakistan
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan asserted that it has taken considerable measures to dismantle terror outfits and arrest their leaders. Referring to the recent Pahalgam attack, the ministry said investigations are still underway and linking it to LeT prematurely is misleading and irresponsible. Pakistan said it has never supported terrorism and described the US’s designation as an international humiliation. Furthermore, it accused India of using anti-Pakistan propaganda to divert attention from alleged human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan also urged the international community to adopt an impartial approach in the global fight against terrorism.
