Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday held a high-level review meeting on the status of infrastructure development in the capital city of Amaravati. The meeting focused on the progress of construction by private and government institutions that have been allotted land for various sectors including education, healthcare, hospitality, IT, and government services.
Officials from the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) informed the Chief Minister that 947 acres have been allotted to 72 institutions so far. The land parcels have been designated for schools, universities, banks, hotels, health facilities, religious organizations, government offices, and tech parks.
Chief Minister Naidu personally interacted with the heads and representatives of the allotted institutions, seeking clarity on when construction would commence and when projects would be completed. He issued a clear directive that there must be no delays in obtaining permissions, and advised that any administrative bottlenecks be brought directly to his attention.
Emphasizing accountability, Chandrababu Naidu stated that institutions must adhere to the agreed timelines without fail. “No delays will be tolerated under any circumstances,” he asserted.
During the meeting, several institutions provided their construction timelines. Three organizations confirmed they would begin construction within one month, 15 committed to starting within two months, 13 within five months, and 17 institutions pledged to commence work within six months.
The state government is actively collecting detailed project plans from all allottees and is seeking firm commitments to ensure timely and coordinated development of the Amaravati capital region.
