Jayashankar Bhupalpally: A major tragedy struck Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Friday evening as six youth went missing in the Godavari River near the Medigadda Barrage, close to Ambatipalli village in Mahadevpur mandal.
According to reports, a group of ten youngsters had entered the river for a swim, but only four managed to return safely. The six missing individuals include four from Ambatipalli village and two from Korlakunta village, prompting widespread grief across the local communities.
State Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu expressed shock over the incident and directed authorities to carry out urgent rescue operations. Mahadevpur SI Pawan Kumar inspected the site and confirmed that search efforts are underway to trace the missing youth.
