Hyderabad: A video allegedly showing the capture of a terrorist by security forces at Shamshabad Airport has gone viral on social media, leading many to believe its authenticity. However, the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau has clarified that the video is fake.
According to the Cyber Bureau, the video was an old recording from a mock drill conducted at the airport. A fact-check confirmed that it was not a recent incident. Authorities advised the public not to trust unverified videos and warned that strict actions would be taken against individuals spreading false information.

Shamshabad Airport also released a statement confirming that the video was indeed fabricated. The Cyber Bureau reiterated the importance of verifying information before accepting it as true.
This comes on the heels of India’s Operation Sindoor, launched after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, in which Indian forces destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK). Despite this, Pakistan retaliated with drone, missile, and fighter jet attacks, all of which were successfully intercepted by the Indian Army. Following these actions, both India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire after diplomatic talks between their Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMO).
